Flemish Giants are large size rabbits! They should be long, lean, and have a powerful body. The Flemish is a semi-arch type rabbit with a arch starting behind the shoulder and carrying through to the base of the tail. The head should be well shaped, and in proportion to their body. Ears should be erect with a heavy base, never lop. The average Flemish Giant weighs around 14 - 16 lbs, but have been known to get as big as 22 lbs. Flemish doe rabbits have a beautiful double chin called a dewlap. Flemish doe rabbits can take up to a year to hit their full maturity and a buck, year and half. Life span for these large guys is 8 years. But, remember the life span depends on the care and diet.
